Alright. So we left off with me over-weight and mildly-depressed. Never fear! I'm not one to wallow in misery. There will be no "Woe is me" in this joint. Tally ho!!!
So let's talk numbers. Middle ones to be specific. When I was at my skinniest (and felt my best) my middle number was a 3. Not anorexic scary, but healthy-for-me awesome. For a brief few days, mind you. I also got there by not eating the foods I like and no exercise. Hence, the emergence of the grumpy, mean, little lady.
My middle number now has not been seen since there was a 10 pound child occupying my uterus.
So, this time I am doing it right. Excercise and a better diet. I started "Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred" a few weeks ago.
She kicked my heiny.
Lori buys workout DVD at Wal-Mart. Reads the back and sees there are 3 levels of intensity. Think to self, "I'll probably breeze right through these! I'll be at 3 in a few days!"
Lori also sees that the DVD calls for hand weights. Thinks to self, "I'll buy 5 pounders because 2 pounders are for wienies. I used to lift people in the air when I was a cheerleader for Pete's sake."
Lori puts the DVD in the next morning.
Lori curses. (Sorry....I'm working on it!)
Lori almost passes out.
Lori collapses in a heap and admits she was sooooooo wrong!
My muscles felt so tight and good. That chick worked the heck out of me. It's only 20 minutes long, but you go from 2 minutes weights, 2 minutes cardio, and 1 minute abs. The breaking up makes it go by fast, but holy moley I felt like I worked out for an hour at the gym. I highly recommend it, but be forewarned. It's tough. It's 10 bucks at Wal-Mart and is over by the treadmills.
If you buy it, for the love of all that is holy buy the 2 pounders!
